marking territory

moving through space
seems to make sense
where-as
moving through time
is allusive.
does time exist
with-out our need
for measuring change
in feet per second?
is "now" necessary
or simply a place for
consciousness to hang its hat?
is now an expression of being?
or a necessity of our
being self-centered?
where is the resonance of being
with-out time?
so long as there
is a pulse
there is music
but what use is "now"
in the depths of space?
am i anything more than
a shifting point of view
alienating resistance to change
with observations?
